Hannanprint NSW has verified its position as an innovator and conscious company concerned about the environment by achieving ISO 14001 environmental accreditation. Awarded in February 2007, certification under this internationally recognized standard sets the bar for other large web offset printers.
Hannanprint has recently attained FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) full chain of custody certification for all of its plants. In a printing context, this is essentially about the traceability of paper through the supply chain from fully certified responsibly managed forests through to production at the designated printing plant.
How does this benefit your organisation? You will be able to make “on product” claims in reference to the paper being sourced from responsibly managed forests and display either the FSC or PEFC logo, whichever is valid. This may broadly support either your organisation’s corporate social responsibility objectives and more specifically assist in positioning your organisation as having sound environmental credentials.

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption. It applies to those environmental aspects which the organisation has control and over which it can be expected to have an influence. This standard is applicable to any organisation that wishes to, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system.
